Mary Had A Little Lamb Mixed Media Video Tutorial

I'm so honored to have the chance to serve on the Art Anthology DT for the next year.  Some people scrap because they want to preserve memories. but others, like me, just have a driving force to create.  Honestly, if I don't get time to play in my studio every day, I get rather cranky! So experimenting with the Art Anthology paints always keeps my mind racing towards what else can I do?  You will see some of these experiments on today's canvas.

You can see some of the fun textures that I created in this piece.  I really love how the paint is shiny, but transparent, allowing the printed paper to show through.

The Velvet Paint colored the stamped canvas like a dream!

And look at the fluffy texture on this little lamb - just a little coat of Cotton Velvet.

The stars and clouds are from Basically Bare's Celestial Shapes - but were enhanced using Colorations and Crystal Dimensions.

Cut a 6 x 6 printed panel from the paper collection.  Distress the edges and attach to a 6 x 6" card base.  Stamp the Brick and Collage stamp set in the center of the paper. Cut the decorative circle from the collection and glue so that it will help frame the largest clock face.  Stamp the clocks again on a light aqua print paper and cut out the clocks.  Use foam adhesives to apply to the card. Stamp and cut leaves using the Open Leaf stamps and the coordinating die.  Shape the leaves and add to the collage (this will cover over the unwanted sentiment from the Brick stamp). Stamp the flowers with watermark ink and heat emboss with gold powder.  Ink the edges of the flowers with the Crimson Copper ink, shape and add to the collage. Cut the ticket from the patterned paper and glue to the card base.  Finish with gem flourishes, pearls and twine.

Xyron and Anna Griffin Blog Hop - Day 1

I loved getting to play with these new releases from Anna Griffin, and created a "modified" banner. I used the Xyron Double Sided Tape to attach my banner tags to a chicken wire frame - making it easy to display and easy to change out for different occasions.  You are also getting a little sneak peak of new products - Anna will be debuting all of these goodies on the 24 Hour Craft Day on HSN - but you can keep up to date on her HSN page. And our own Beth Kingston will be at HSN as well, bringing you great deals on Xyron! Be sure to check the Xyron Blog each day this week to see who is sharing projects for the day.

I used the Anna Griffin Tags for the base of the banner, and cut strips of her paper to add a faux ribbon to the top.  These were attached using the Xyron/Teresa Collins Stapler.

I used the Xyron/Teresa Collins foam adhesives to attach the die-cuts to tags.  The "banner" was attached to a CTMH Chicken Wire Frame using the Xyron Double Sided Tape - so, I can change it out for any occasion, and then have the tags left over for other projects.

Remember to watch Anna  and Beth next week on HSN (I'm sure there will be some amazing prices that day!)
