The Door to My Heart (6 x6 card)
Stamps the Timeless Amour Backround stamp onto a light colored patterned paper (5 7/8" x 5 7/8") from the Timeless Amour Paper collection, using the Desert Sand ink. Distress the edges of the paper using scissors and distress ink. Cut the Flourish trim from the dark burgandy paper and adhere to the right side of the paper. Cut the decorative heart from the Timeless Amour set and color the light paper using Victorian Velvet. Stamp the heart/door stamp and color with Copics.  Run silk ribbon across the card, and then mount the hearts on top. Stamp the sentiment onto the tag using Vinyard Berry.  Color the rest of the tag using the Distress Inks, and then sprinkle a few droplets of water on it, to activate the distress inks. Tie a bow through the tag hole and add to card.  Make one flower, using the 3 smallest Vintage Floret flowers, stamping 2 layers for each size. Add ink to color and shape  using  the molding mat and tools. Adhere to a 6 x 6 card base.

Birthday Wishes

Today is my husband's birthday, so of course, I wanted to make him a special card.  I always love when his birthday rolls around, because at least for 6 months, he catches up to my age - lol!

I embossed the bottom layer using the Spellbinder's M-bossablity Regal folder.  I brushed a bit of the Tarnished Brass Distress Stain over this to elegantly distress it.  I stamped the JustRite Shabby Music Background  stamp onto the bronze paper using Versamark Ink and embossed it in gold.  After it was embossed, I used Spellbinders Standard Circles to cut it.  I added glitery dots around the edge using a gold Viva Decor Glitter Liner.  The next layer was the May Arts ribbon (QM 18) - which is one of my favorite ribbons at the time.  I got a chance to use the new Spellbinders D-Lites Medallion Five - which is so beautiful!  My sentiment was stamped from the JustRite set Grand Sentiments and framedwith the Fancy Framed Tags Two.  The butterfly was also stamped from the same set and embossed in gold.  I used the Faber-Castell gelatos to add a little color to the center.

Christmas Tag with Cheery Lynn Designs

I hope that those of you in the States had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! I sure did, but now it's time to get into full swing of the Christmas season.  I haven't put my tree up yet, but it's on the agenda for this week.  On that note, I have a Christmas tag to share with you today.  Tags are fun to make any time of the year, but are so great to have around now for presents.

I used one of our Window dies, backed it with vellum, and added a little touch of Flower Soft to the corners of the windows to look like snow.  I added some small flowers from the Embellishment 2 die to my holly folliage. The fancy backing was created by gluing 2 of Fiona's Magic Window Frames together, and just gave the tag a little more substance - plus it was a great place to tie my ribbons on as well.

Our new challenge should help get you in the Christmas spirit! We would like to see your Christmas creations using non-traditional colors (no red or green). Enter by Sunday night for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate!
