Chapel Road Challenge

We are shaking things up a bit at the Chapel Road stamps challenge - Now you can use any stamp to play along with us, as long as you follow the current theme. If you do use Chapel Road stamps, you will be entered twice. Also, our challenges will now be on the 3rd Friday of the month, and the Class Act Challenges will be on the first Friday of the month.

Our new challenge is for a non-traditional card, meaning either a shaped card or a fancy fold. I used my long-standing favorite easel card and the Adornments set. I thought this was just perfect for Easter Weekend.

I stamped and cut out my images. The cross was colored using Glimmer Mist, and edged with Gold Smooch. The qua-trefoil was colored with Copics and Gold Smooch. Lots of dimensional adhesives were placed to give great dimension.

Globecraft Memories

,

Oh my goodness! I just discovered the coolest new product, by Globecraft Memories. They are chipboard frame sets that you can alter any way your heart desires. They come with an acrylic dome to protect whatever little goodies you want to add inside.
For my project, I covered each of the frame layers using Prima papers from the Madeline collection. For my treasure - I made a layered panel with Spellbinders Label 13, and stamped JustRite's Fancy Labels on my panel. I sprayed the panels with Helmar Vellum adhesive, and sprinkled with glitter. The flower was cut using Spellbinders/Donna Salazar's Rose Creations die. My sentiment tag was stamped using JustRite's You Inspire Me set.

This was really fun, and I want to try some of their smaller frames added to scrapbook pages.

The Beary Scrap - Things with Wings

For the rest of April, the Beary Scrap's challenge is to use something with wings. The DT was also challenged to use a feather on our card. I used the gorgeous new Cosmo Cricket paper - Social Club. Now, one of the designs does have a peacock feather on it - and I thought about letting that count as my feather, but I decided why not add a real peacock feather? The stamp is a new image from Belles n Whistles Fairy Friends collection - Lily Pad Dreams. I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to her wings for some shine.

So we would love to have a great project fly to us from your blog! There are so many possibilities - birds, butterflies, fairies - even some great Steampunk designs! So get creative and join the fun!
