Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Have Wednesday's become your favorite day? You know, the day that the designer's at Heartfelt Creations show all of the fabulous projects that they've been working on? I love it! I am always so inspired by all of the incredible projects that are shared. If you have missed it, every Wednesday, we not only give you a ton of eye candy, but also directions, so if you would like to CASE our cards, you can!

I love how elegant this card turned out - and I think it would be a great card for anyone!

Here are the details:

HCPC 3320 Vintage Word Background
HCPC 3301 Hydrangea/Posy Branch
HCD 708 Decorative Window Scene Die
HCD 701Posy Patch Die
HCPC 3303Posy Patch Flowers
Gold Gala Glitz

I made my background paper using the Vintage Words stamp - and stamping on Kraft cardstock using Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap, and then flicking it with some droplets of water to age it. I also distressed the edges of the paper . I stamped part of the Posy branch using Versamark ink and embossed in gold. Then I glued my Fancy Window Scene frame around the image. I stamped and cut Posy Patch flowers to match up with the background stamp, and pop-dotted some of them to create different heights on the flowers. I used gold lame Smooch around one of my background papers to highlight the edge, and also around some of the Dusty Attic Chipboard scallop.

Thanks for looking!

Heartfelt Creations WOW card

I will admit it - I am the world's worst about putting sentiments on or in my cards - I really just forget. So, when I saw the sketch at Charisma Cardz this week, and the extra challenge to use only a sentiment, I thought it was time to step up. I have to say, I am really pleased with the results. I love this verse that is from Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3321 - Believe. I used a vine embossing folder behind the verse, and love how that relates.

Be sure to drop by in the morning for another card featuring Heartfelt Creations.

Challenges:
Charisma Cardz: sketch/ sentiment only

Belles n Whistles - Sparkly Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at the Belles n Whistles Challenge Blog and the lovely Lynda has chosen a sparkly, glittery, blingy Christmas - Yay! How much fun! My card really sparkles much more in person - the paper is glittery, the Prima flowers are glittery and of course, I added stickles to my sweet Star of Bethlehem image. This was my favorite Christmas stamp last year, and I waited too long to order it - and it sold out! I had to wait until this year to add her to my collection. So, don't make my mistake, grab yours today.

Have you been playing along with our Advent Blog event? We have so many cool things planned this month - and we are giving goodies away everyday! We are also holding a Christmas Ornament contest and would love for you to play along! There will be 3 prizes awarded - the first prize is a $25 gift certificate! So don't forget to make a BnW ornament!
