Friends Forever - That's the Ticket!

I have fun trying to re-purpose stamps, so for this Friend card, I combined 3 different stamp sets from JustRite Stampers - The Cardinal is from Backyard Birds, "Friends" is a section of a stamp from Christmas Stamp Ensemble and "Forever" is from a section of a stamp from the Wedding Nested Sentiments. I cut the tickets from my Cricut and punched the border using Kreaxions 307 punch.

Sparkle and Shine

I am such a magpie - I love anything sparkly and shiney - so I have to tell you, I am in love with the new Gold Flower Soft! It is such a fun element to add a little pizazz. For my stamped medallion (from Outlines Stamps) I added Swarovski crystals and my lovely gold Flower Soft. This created such a jeweled image. I mounted it on a gold doily I found in the bridal section at Michael's, and some very sparkly blue cardstock. The background paper is from Pink Paislee's Parisian Anthology collection, and was colored with Glimmer Mist.

Flower Fold Card with Heartfelt Creations

Heartfelt Creations Products:
HCPC 3318 Daisy Patch Flowers
HCPC 3304 Posy Patch Swirls (sentiment)
HCD 703 Daisy Patch Die Cuts
HCD 702 Decorative Butteryfly-border
Spellbinders Scalloped Octagons
Scalloped Buttons

I made this Flower-fold card using a SVG template from Cards Etc, Shop After the base was cut from green cardstock, I began embellishing it. I used the Spellbinders Scalloped Octagons to cut mats. I made my flower with 3 sizes of the daisy patch flower, and stacked them with dimensional foam. This allows the two outer petals to tuck under the flower and hold the card shut. I cut apart a small decorative corner from the HCD 702 die and used these to embellish my flaps. When the card is open, you can see the sentiment along with a single daisy.

Apples, Pears and Pumpkins

I love fall colors, so when the Beary Scrappy Gals decided that we would work with a palette inspired by apples, pears and pumpkins - I knew it would be a winning combination! We are still working with the awesome sketch that Susan came up with (You have until Nov. 14th to play along).

My card is very fall inspired. First, I went through my stash of papers from the Beary Scrap, and decided on Queen Bee from Pink Paislee. I am always happy when I use this paper. I also added some Bo Bunny Peacock Lane. - For my image, I used this really cute little Edwin holding a chicken from Magnolia (I am so bad about remembering the names of some of these stamps - sorry!) and colored him with Copics. I made a shaker box as one of my card elements that has little autumn leaves and green beads in it (the beads help the leaves not to all stick together - and makes it more fun to shake). The fence and the tree were both cut with my Cricut using the Cindy Loo and Heritage cartridges. I would love to tell you that I am so uber talented with my Cricut and Gypsy that I planned to make the leaves of the tree the perfect size for the May Ribbon leaves that I added to it - but alas, I'm not that talented - I was just really lucky! And I really thought it was quite serendipitous that they matched up so well!

This really is a great sketch, so we would love to have you play along with us!

Warm and Cozy

The temperatures have been dropping like crazy, so now is the time to stay in and cuddle up (well maybe stay in and make a card!) The challenge at Belles n Whistles Challenge blog for the next two weeks is to use something cozy or fuzzy. I used a black felt mat by Prima on my card. It really looks much more elegant in person. The stamp, Hearty Thanksgiving, is one that was released last year, but is now available in our wonderful clear stamps.
