Feeling Like Fall

I have another quick fall-inspired card to share with you. The stamp is from Impression Obsession - and was just perfect to use some of the new colors of Flower Soft. I used the new Ultrafine Earth and Pine as well as the original Bright Orange. These colors are so fabulous for fall! I also used my Kreaxions punch #922 for my border.

CPS Sketch for the week

I had a list of challenges that I was really wanting to play with this week, so I have been trying to get them marked off one by one! This is the sketch challenge for CPS this week. Flourishes is sponsoring this week, and since that is one of my favorite stamp companies, I knew I had to play. The stamp that I used is one of the Who's that Girl stamps from MFT's. I used both my Beaded Circles and Beaded Ovals nesties on this card.

Celebrating with Kraftin Kimmie

Kraftin Kimmie is celebrating their one year birthday! Of course I wanted to play along with their challenge this week to help them celebrate. My card is obviously a card to celebrate Halloween. I took sweet little Gabrielle and made her spooky for the occasion. I distressed my poison label with glimmer mist. Did you spot that very sparkly silver petticoat? It's the new Flower Soft in silver! I think you will be seeing a lot of this from me! (This should be arriving in stores soon).

I wish Kraftin Kimmie another year of success!

Pumpkins

Oh my! I so wanted to play in the Just Us Girls Challenge this week to help celebrate their 1 year blogoversary! So here is my card with less than and hour and a half until the challenge ends! It was a fun little sketch.

I used Heartfelt Creations Pumpkin stamp set (which coordinates with the Spellbinders Pumpkin die) I colored my pumpkins with glimmer mist - so they are beautifully shimmery!

Thanks for looking!

It's beginning to look a little spooky!

Wow, last week we dropped from the 80's down to the 60's! I think fall has arrived. Hopefully, the weather will have you in the mood to create some Fall or Halloween projects this week, at Karen's Doodles.

I know my card is far from frightening, but, I much prefer cute Halloween rather than really spooky! I used Kitty Cat for my main image. (My leaves are from Heartfelt Creations). I hope you get a chance to play with us! We have three winners each week - but you can't win if you don't play!

Heart to Heart Card Drive

Carolyn King started a wonderful card drive to honor the Caregivers of those with Alzheimer's
Disease. I kept meaning to make some cards and get them posted, and just finished this one up. I used some of my Heartfelt Creations stamps - Daisy Patch Background and the sentiment is from Simple Filler Stems set.

Carolyn's grandmother passed away in 2008 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. That was the year that the first Heart to Heart Card Drive began, in her memory, to honor the CAREGIVERS of patients with this awful disease. The Alzheimer’s Association does a great job and finding way to fund raise for research and to spread the word about the disease and how widespread it has become.

This card drive is an effort to thank the silent victims---those who work every day so that someone they love (and sometimes someone they don’t even know well) can survive another one.

To find out more about this card drive and see the list of very generous donors, please visit Carolyn's blog.
