Bookmark it!

I just wanted to get my entry posted for this week's JustRite Challenge, which was to make a bookmark. I hope you get some time to indulge in a great book and a wonderful treat!

The tea cup is cut from felt, and machine stitched. The tea bag is an actual Tetley tea bag with the tea dumped out. I used stamps from JustRite's Baking Stamp ensemble.

It's a Flower Soft Blog Hop!

I was over the moon when I was asked to be the guest DT for Flower Soft for July and August! I know it's not quite July yet, but I'm already getting to play with the fabulous team. Are you enjoying seeing all the great ideas for using Flower Soft toppers? You should have arrived from Debbie Seyer's blog, if you just stumbled upon this hop, than by all means, go back and start at the Flower Soft blog. Besides all of the wonderful projects you will see, you will want to leave some love at each blog for the chance to win this great prize of Flower Soft goodies! Comments will stay open until 6:00pm on June 29th. The winner will be announced on the Flower Soft blog on June 30th.

For my card, I used the Recipe for a Sister Topper from the Recipes for a Family set. Since the package comes with 2 of each image, I cut out the sweet sister bear and her books, and popped them up for dimension. Then I went in with my Ultra Fine Toffee flower soft and added my shading. Doesn't this little bit of flower soft add so much texture? Finally, I used some Ultra Fine Raspberry Fizz for the flowers around the border and her hairbow. I love the detail that you can achieve with the Ultra Fine!

Have you starting watching Flower Soft TV? There is a new episode every Friday! To register for announcements, contests and specials at Flower Soft TV go to http://www.flower-soft.tv/#information.html and then click green "REGISTER" button.

Here's a sketch for you!

Welcome to another Monday morning. I hope you had a fabulous weekend! It is time for another challenge at Karen's Doodles - USA. This week we have a sketch for you. I almost always "turn" my sketches into 6 x 6 cards, no matter what the sketch looks like....but for this one, I stayed true to the 4 x 9.5" card.

I love all of the summery images Karen has been coming out with - I can't color them fast enough! For this card, I used Dog Day Afternoon.

This sketch was different for me, and hopefully will be for you too! We would love for you to play along, for a chance to win some great images.

Stamp Something - Something Summer

Does it get any sweeter than Belles n Whistles with pink, brown and white?

Any time you mix Belles n Whistles stamps with pink, brown and white, you know that is a recipe for sweetness! And that is exactly what our challenge is for you this week - Easy Peasy!

I used the new stamp, A Child's Prayer, from the Forever Young Collection. I love this image, because I feel that I have so much to be thankful for, and this card really expresses that. I hope that you will join us this week - and you could win your choice of a Belles n Whistles stamp.
