I love layering!

I love layering on my cards, and I've really started popping the layers with dimensional dots to really make the cards stand out. Just thought I would share this card with you, using an image from Karen's Doodles (She actually drew this inspired by my 4 year old nephew and his "big date" with his little girlfriend. Thanks Karen for drawing this for me!

This is for the challenge at Alota -distressing (my favorite technique, in case you hadn't guessed!)

The official launch for the Beary Scrap DT is March the 1st. We have so many exciting things planned for you - including some SWEET CANDY, fun challenges and tons of inspiration. The Beary Scrap is a brick and mortar scrapbook store in Shavertown, Pennsylvania, but has an awesome online store as well. Here is a scrapbook page I made as part of my submission for the DT. This is my nephew Cole, and this is one of my all time favorite pictures of him! I used Pink Persimmon Stamps for the banner and rosettes. I made the flower using Tim Holtz grunge paper sprayed with Tattered Angels and spellbinders.

Winter Angel

Welcome to Tuesday! I have a card for you this morning using Winter Angel from Karen's Doodles. Isn't she just lovely? This card has a ton of details that you might miss in the picture, so let me tell you what I've done. I colored her with copics and used gold Smooch for the wings. I added white MS glitter on her fur trim, and 2mm Swarovski crystals to the medallions on her dress. I colored and cut a 2nd image of her using just navy blue and used this for her shadow. For the houses in the neighborhood, I stamped them with a CTMH stamp set, using Versamark on the colored CS, and then embossed with some glittery embossing powder, and cut them out and popped them up. For the snowy background, I ran the CS through the cuttlebug with the small snow folder, and then colored over all of the raised areas with a clear sparkle Sakura pen. Finally, I stitched my layers together using metallic gold thread.

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafty Creations - Stitching
One Stitch at a Time - Stitching
Corrosive - Wings
Fussy and Fancy - Dazzle Us

Michelle Perkett Challenge for Feb 23

It's time for another challenge at the Michelle Perkett Challenge blog! And today we are asking you to make a side-step card, using spring colors. Easy-peasy! I used the Guinevere design and added some sparkly paper, and voila! To play along, be sure to use a Michelle Perkett image and have your card uploaded at the blog, by Monday, Mar.1, 5:00pm, PST.

Recipe from Simon Says

This week Simon Says Stamp Challenge was to use a House Mouse stamp, 2 designer papers, and 3 types of embellishments. Since this stamp was little-bitty, I used very small flowers, brads and ribbon, so that it didn't overshadow the stamp.

SSD sponsoring at Sketch Girl!

I know you all love the images at Sassy Studio Designs - and here's a chance to win 4 images of your choice! SSD is the sponsor over at Sketch Girl. You have until 9 pm EST on Feb. 27th to get your project uploaded.

Here is my take on the sketch. I used the exclusive image from the 25 Days of Christmas, that Lindsay held during December. Now, I have to admit I changed this image just slightly. I was a baton twirler in high school, and she almost looked like she was holding a baton, so I just added the baton end to the bottom, and added the go-go boots. Ah, that brings back memories!

Time for Spring

I keep hoping if I make springy cards, that maybe the weather outside will catch on, and cooperate with us. The sun is actually shining today, so that's a great blessing.

This card is made using the Little Land Swimmers image from Sassy Cheryl. My colors were inspired when I was sent this yummy ribbon from Flourishes. I always loved their stamps, but had not ever seen their ribbon, and let me tell you, I'm loving it! I cut the raindrops out with my Cricut, and pop-dotted them up for added dimension.

Here are the challenges for this card:
Paper Sundaes - A Glittery Spring
The Pink Elephant - Ribbon
Spoon Full of Sugar- Spring is in the Air
Digital Tuesday - All things girly
Stamp Something - Touch of Spring

Thank You!

It's time for another challenge from Creative Inspirations! and today, the theme is "Thank you".
I would like to send this card to all of my faithful followers! Thanks for stopping by and for your encouragement and friendship. This image is from Phindy's Place.
I am also using this for the challenge at:
