Simon Says Sparkle

This is my first easel card - it was the monthly challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites. I would never have dreamed this would be so easy and so fun! At Simon Says Challenge blog, this week, it was anything that sparkles. I actually have quite a bit of sparkly on this card, although it's not showing up that great. I sprayed my sentiment with glimmer mist in black gold and tiger lily. I outlined the doors and windows of my haunted house with spica markers, and embossed in silver a large spiderweb on the flat, bottom section of the card. Peachy Keen Stamps challenge is having a special Halloween challenge to make a card with a ghost, a bat, a haunted house and a Halloween sentiment. At All That Scraps, the challenge was for a Halloween card. Finally, at ISB challenge, you had to use the colors orange, black and purple.

Pick a Number

The challenge at Creative Inspirations was to use a number in your card. I used a foam #8, to make the sentiment You're Gr8t (great). It was a quick card, but made me have to think of a creative way to use a number.

Sweet Tilda

Here is another sweet card with little Tilda. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday -with loads of layers to distress for the challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges. I made these tissue paper flowers with glimmer mist. I love all of the dimension in this card.

Spotting Tilda

Everywhere I look, I spot adorable Tilda's - and I only have this one sweet little Tilda (so far!) The challenge at Papertake weekly challenges is Spots and Stripes. Although my embossing doesn't show up that well in the pic, the white circle is embossed with Spellbinders Circles Impressabilities - the other spots are really easy to see! I also kept this clean and simple for the Magnolia-Licious challenge and pink for the Little Stamp Shoppe blog.

Happy Anniversary!

It would be really fun to have an anniversary on Halloween- and LaToya does! She and her sweet boyfriend have been together for 3 years! Congratulations!! This card definitely has the Halloween going on, but if you'll notice, I used the Renaissance Hearts border to show a little love. I hope you two have many more happy years together!

Grateful for Fall

I was proud of myself for getting the picture of this card taken today, with natural sunlight - and got ready to upload it just now and realized that my "Grateful" sentiment had fallen off and not made it into the pic. So, that will explain why you have two pictures of this card (and why one is much better than the other!). The stamp is from the fall release of Whiff of Joy stamps - I think Willow is just so sweet to color. I used the sketch from WoJ Challenges this week for this card. I had several sources of inspiration for the colors that I used - 1. I scraplifted the palate from a card at Cuttlebug Challenge (Beth Ulman's card), 2. The Copic Color Challenge was to use olive, amethyst and orange 3. The color challenge at Gingersnap was to use orange, green, brown. I learned how to make this tissue paper flower from the JUGS challenge (although I had a different flower nestibility) and handmade flowers are becoming my favorite embellishment (so this card is great for the Incy Wincy challenge of the week). The challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ was to make a card that expressed gratitude. Not only does my sentiment say "grateful", but I loved the way that Willow has her arms stretched up toward heaven, in a grateful pose. Thanks for letting me get a bunch of challenges with this card!

Happy Birthday Anya Card

I was lucky enough to win this cute Anya stamp a couple of weeks ago from The Greeting Farm. So, it seemed appropriate that I should make a fun birthday card. If you will notice, Anya is standing on a very tall cake. The challenge at Caardvarks and All That Scraps was to make a tall card. At One Stop Craft Challenge, you were to make a celebration card. And at Peachy Keen Stamps, the challenge was to make a pink and brown card with glitter and ribbon. I used stickles in between the cake layers (and it took forever to dry!)

Thinking of You Fall Card

I really enjoyed the DT Scavenger hunt today at Stamptacular - lots of great inspiration! Along the way, I was challenged to make a thinking of you card (that will be sent to a cancer patient at Toledo Clinic). So here is my cute little card. I used a stamp from the fall release of Whiff of Joy stamps and used the sketch from Papertake. I love the fall colors on this card!
