Some of my favorites!

Magnolia Down Under is searching for 3 spots as Guest Designers for their blog. I had ordered some new Magnolias in hopes that they would make it to me in time for this challenge, but alas, they did not. So I am just sharing a few of my favorite cards that I have made over the past several months. It would be like a dream to be on her guest DT! Check out her store, she has amazing products!

Spooky Little Mouse

Ok, so this little mouse is really more cute than spooky, but if I saw any mouse in my house, it would be more than spooky! So, since the challenge was from Cute Card Thursday, I think it still works! This little image is Penny Witch, from the Greeting Farm. Their challenge this week was Farm Fresh Sans Frills (meaning no ribbon, flowers, or lace), so I had to use restraint, cause I was reaching for my ribbon stash...Instead, I just used my new MS pumpkin punch to make the cute little paper border. The challenge at Copic Creations was to color something black. They have links to some great videos for coloring black objects, and I think I really learned a lot. If you struggle getting nice black shading, go watch the videos. Finally, the sketch is from Melissa at Tuesday Morning Sketches. She always comes up with some really fun sketches to work with! This one was perfect, since I could not add froufrou, it was interesting enough with fewer elements.

Tink!

I pulled out my Cricut Tinker Bell and Friends cart, to cut this little Tinker Bell for the card challenge at Stamptacular Sunday. For the challenge, you had to use a well-known cartoon character. And I personally, think Tinker Bell is pretty famous! I stamped the swirl, and added silver embossing powder to look like swirls of fairy dust. I added lots of bling to this card - silver embossing powder, stickles on the flower, and a very blingy center, so it was perfect for the Stamp Something challenge (to use bling!). The sketch I used was from Friday Sketchers - I loved the detail of this sketch.

Peace on Earth

I love this paper from Basic Grey, and had really forgotten about it, til this week. Stampin TV had a color challenge to use cranberry, new asparagus, lt blue and white - all of the colors of this dp! So, I made this simple card, just with some fussy cuts and used the great sketch from Friday Sketchers and came up with this easy-peasy card (sometimes, you just need to do a really simple card to clear your mind a little). With that, I think I'm off to bed.

You Hold the Key to My Heart!

Wow, there's nothing like trying to beat a deadline to get something posted! With a few minutes to spare, here is my entry for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge blog. The challenge was to use brown predominately in the card. Not a problem for me, brown is one of my favorite colors! I used the stamp set Key to My Heart from Pink Persimmon. After I stamped the lock and key, I cut them out and colored them with my copics.

Simon Says Sketch

The challenge from Simon Says this week is a really cute sketch. So I used this image, Fabiana, from Victoria Case designs (which she provided for the Copic Buzz this week). I colored it with my Copics and added a little shimmer with Twinkling H2O's. DCRU gave a challenge to make your own embellishments, so I made the flowers by layering cuts from the Accent Essentials cart for Cricut, and used an old book that I was going to get rid of for the text papers.

Shine

I made this card for a challenge over at Club Anya. I used a digital image so I was able to create the background paper with smaller graduates. The sketch is from CPS (turned on it's side).

Incy Wincy Challenge

The Incy Wincy challenge this week is to make a card with wildlife. I used their digi image of birds (all sales go to support children's charities to provide therapy for disabled children in Australia). I used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. Both of these sites are giving some fabulous prizes for the winners, so go check them out!

Sweethearts

I was off work today, so I worked on this challenge card for Crafting Life's Pieces. She always has such cute sketches, and this one was no exception. The cute little couple is the 50's Sweethearts from Greeting Farms. I paper pieced her skirt, hairbow and the heart - so it was perfect for the Anyone for Anya challenge. I framed the couple using my nestabilities and clear skittles, so this was my entry at One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity blog (use skittles on a card)

It was yucky and rainy here all day, so I had to scan the card, rather than photographing it, so it doesn't show how much dimension this card has.

I think I will give it to my husband, since we just celebrated our 6 month anniversary! (It's great to be newlyweds!)

Perfectly Precious

This cute image is from the Greeting Farm, and I thought it was perfect for the challenge over on Roses on Paper & Belles 'N Whistles Combined Challenge Blog (now that's a mouthful!). Anyhow, this week you were to use any sketch (this one is from Sketch Saturday) and use the colors green, orange and brown. Also, they are having a search now through October 19th for a guest design team member for the next two months, for the Belles 'n Whistles stamp line - How fun would that be?

Congratulations Alison!

Alison Acton, one of the very talented designers at Whiff of Joy stamps is having a baby boy! I made this card to send to her, to wish her and her husband blessings for this child. It was kind of cool that the weekly challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ was to make a baby card (since I don't know anybody else who is currently expecting!) Children are such a blessing and should always be celebrated!
