Thinking of You

I just love this stamp set from CTMH - Childhood Portrait. It is so sweet and sentimental! I added pink flower soft to my tree silhouette for some spring time blossoms (although, I know, we are quickly heading into fall!) I distressed my paper edges with both scissors and inks, to go with the antique feel of this card.

Flourishes' Feel of Fall

Want a chance to win the new releases coming out next week? Then play this challenge at the Flourishes blog for a chance to win all four! This is a very lovely sketch, so I really enjoyed creating this moonlit tree card. Have fun!

Scarecrow Card

This cute little scarecrow is from DZ Doodles and was a free digi download for playing the Copic Buzz this week. I used a sketch from the challenge that Taylored Expressions is having for their birthday celebration (13 challenges this weekend! Do you think I can get them all done?!!!) Well, if I have a chance at getting all these challenges finished this weekend, then I better make this post short and sweet so I can stay busy crafting!

Adore Card

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge
Song of Solomon 6:3 and it says "I am my Lover's and my Lover is mine; he browses among the lilies."I chose this scripture so that you could make a card for your husband/significant other (or, if you are not married or dating, a loved one of your choice that you would like to show your appreciation to) to show them how much you love them. I would ask that you make a card in the style you know they will love (hearts, red, yellow...whatever suits them best) and, here is the kicker...you have to actually give it to them prior to the challenge being over so no saving it for a birthday or anniversary. This is just an I love you and appreciate you card.

So, I made this card for my husband - who is the best in the world! I used Spellbinders Renaissance Hearts pendant and petite borders.

Just sitting here thinking about you

The challenge at Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday this week was to stamp and image and not color it. Well, since I have gotten so hooked on copics, I was afraid this one was going to stump me. Luckily, it didn't - I was just really inspired to try some other techniques that seemed to work great for this card. I paper pieced my chair using SEI's velvet paper, which gave a nice upholstery look, and sewed beads on by hand for the tufting. I embossed the flower vase and used Flower Soft for my flowers. The chandelier was cut from my Cricut Home Decor cart, and I outlined it with a Sakura clear pen, and added orange stickles for the candle light. I used the sketch from Priscilla's Midnight Madness site for my layout.
