Bread of Life

There is a great new blog - Stampin' Sisters in Christ. The ladies participating in the challenge are so very talented! The first challenge is this week, and the mission was to create a card with a food theme. I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil and quoted John 6:35 - And Jesus said unto them, I am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. I pray that any of you who don't know Jesus, will come to know and love him, and receive the peace that only He can offer!

Notebook for Espanol class

So, I am realizing that it is probably much easier to learn a foreign language when you are younger! My whole office is taking a Spanish class for the next six weeks, and with my southern accent, it just isn't very pretty! So, I made a notebook for my class that would work for my Cuttlebug Challenge which was to create a back to school set, gift set for a teen, for their locker, or for your desk, or a s a gift to someone. I figured if I didn't sound great speaking Spanish, I might as well look good taking my notes for class! The challenge at Cuttlebug Spot was to make something hot. Although, I've never been to Mexico, I know it would be quite hot (and you know this poor little dancer would have to be very hot under all those layers of ruffles!) I used my Life's a Beach cartridge to cut the sun and the letters (which I embossed with the new diamond plate folder). The cute image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. Finally, I used my Bind-it-all, which I am embarrassed to say, I have had for over a year, and this is the first time I have used it. It was just really intimidating to me - although, it really was not hard to use after I pulled it out today. Hopefully, I will use it much more now that I have figured it out a little bit.

Fall for Figs Card

I just got this new stamp set Figs and Pomegranates from Flourishes (I also used their classic white cardstock which did great with the copics!)The Timeless Tuesday challenge, over at the Flourishes Blog, was to use pearls. Flourishes is also the sponsor this week for the Copic Buzz challenge - which the challenge over there was to be inspired by nature. Finally, I used the sketch from Priscilla's Midnight Madness challenge (MMSC16) for the card. Thanks for looking!
